Who Can Do Yoga!?

Do I have to be flexible to do Yoga?

These questions are very common when contemplating taking up yoga in your life but do not fear as ANYONE can do yoga!

You do not have to be able to do this (see picture on left) to benefit from yoga!

It is a very common misconception that you MUST be flexible to be "good" at yoga. It is important to remember that yoga is non-competitive! Yoga is for YOU and only YOU. The practice of yoga will help you gain a better awareness of yourself and your body.

Yoga is also a wonderful way to ease back into exercise if you do not exercise regularily!

Yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation are all parts of a typical yoga class or practice.

Yoga allows the experience of SELF - body, mind, and spirit. Dedicated practice will allow you to uncover your inherent strength, flexibility, peacefulness, concentration and focus; qualities that are inside all of us and the key to and living a happy and healthy lifestyle.

Be patient with your body - always honour your limitations, so as to prevent injury. Do what feels right for you!
